Many women of today are having more trouble than men living happy lives. Women are always expected to do the “dirty work” while men should be expected to go out and have these successful jobs while living a happy life. I don’t know what other people think of this subject, but me being a woman think its not fair at all.
Many women want to attend college and are even smarter than many boys who make it in to these colleges. However, colleges are more like to accept the same amount of boys and girls, which I think is extremely unfair. They should focus on accepting those who earned it, not just because they want to even out the number of males and females. Some colleges might even be adding a football program just so they get more men to attend their colleges.
Also, women expect to be the housewife, which means doing all the work. They are expected to cook, clean, and watch the kids just because they are a woman and because that’s how it was done in the past. Some women are okay with this, but other women want a chance to be the dominant one in a relationship. It should be that women can make money and help support her family just the same as the men do. I think we all need to start thinking fairly and treat everyone as equals, male or female.
Many high school and college students participate in an online community known as Facebook. Facebook has been around for many years; it started in the year 2004. Facebook is where people can add friends, talk online, post blogs, post pictures, and many other things. However, facebook can also determine whether or not you get hired for a job.
It has been known for employers to monitor facebook. If you are a job seeker, it is recommended to make your profile mature and professional. For example, some people post pictures of them partying, and then employers are looking at these photos and will think twice about hiring you. Because they see these photos, they may think that you are not professional or mature enough to handle a job. Also, they may think that you will act like you do in party mode at work. Pictures aren’t the only things employers look that. They also look at your grammar and spelling. They want to see how you interact with others and if you are good with grammar.
I think employers have no right to hire someone based off of a facebook profile. How you act in your personal life isn’t how you will act at work. They need to realize that. I’m sure employers act different around their home life than they do at work. They need to realize that there is a time for work and a time for play. However, I do understand that they want their company to be presented professionally at all times, on and off the clock.
